The image above is provided with permission of the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council Museum. It is a copy of the signed original painted circa. 1700 that is on display in Saint John's Hospital in Santa Monica, CA. The artist is Juan Correa, a 17th Century artist who specialized in a Baroque painting technique known as the "luminous" style. This style blends traditional Baroque with native materialism. It essentially combines an Old World style with a New World technique. Such a combination is befitting of the artist, indicative of the Americas, and exemplifies Our Lady of Guadalupe's message of evangelization.

This copy is for the expressed use by the Knights of Columbus for the Arizona Rosary Celebration 2011 and duplication is not authorized for any other purpose without the expressed permission of the Knights of Columbus.

Arizona Rosary Celebration

For the past 35 years, Rosary Sunday, held in Phoenix, has been one of the largest annual public Rosary celebrations in the United States. This tradition is not changing. However, for the first time, we are blessed this year with the opportunity to have the celebration in Tucson as well as in Phoenix. Rosary Sunday has expanded, and thus renamed the "Arizona Rosary Celebration" and will be held in Tucson and in Phoenix. Together, these two wonderful events become the "Arizona Rosary Celebration." In honor of our new statewide event, we have launched this new website: www.azrosary.org.

This major celebration in honor of Our Lady is sponsored by the Arizona Knights of Columbus and held in conjunction with the Dioceses of Tucson and Phoenix. Invitations to participate are being extended to all parishes and groups in each diocese.

Your participation and support is desired and very much needed in helping honor our Blessed Mother. We seek her special protection and powerful intercession! Mark your calendars and inform and remind your family and friends. Pass the word passionately and often.

Where and When

The Arizona Rosary Celebration will be held over the weekend of October 20 and 21, 2012 in Tucson and Phoenix, respectively.
